How do I purchase meat here?

Buying meat directly from a farm should not be complicated. The only unusual part is that individual packages do not all weigh exactly the same.

Meat boxes and bulk orders

Our meat boxes and bulk beef or pork orders have a set price. Most boxes are priced below the cost of buying the same cuts individually.

1. Add the box or bulk order to your cart.
2. Go to checkout, enter any discount code and choose shipping, local delivery or farm pickup.
3. We prepare your order. Shipped orders normally leave on Wednesday. For pickup orders, we will message you when everything is ready and arrange a time.

Individual cuts

Individual packages vary in weight. The price shown on the product page is a deposit based on the average package size. Once we pull your order from the freezer, we weigh each package and calculate the actual total.

1. Add the cuts you want to your cart and complete checkout.
2. We prepare and weigh the packages.
3. We subtract the deposit you already paid and send you the remaining balance.
4. For shipped orders, the balance is due by e-transfer before the order leaves. Local pickup and delivery balances can be paid by cash, cheque or e-transfer.

We normally need a few days to prepare an order. If you need it sooner, leave a note at checkout or send us an email. We cannot promise every rush order, but we will tell you what is possible.

This system takes one extra step, but it means you pay for the meat you actually receive—not a rounded-up guess.
