Weekend Foods for Weekend Memories
There are so many things that we do that are tied to food. Most of our holidays are celebrated with someone's special recipe. We all have a food that just the thought of it brings up happy thoughts and warm feelings.
We want to make sure that the foods you use to build those memories are just as special as the people.

When No One Planned Supper
We’ve all been there; bad day, no sleep, fussing kids, work runs late. The kind of day where supper needs to be easy. Pull something from the freezer, throw it in the over or slow cooker and walk away. You can do that when you have a stocked up freezer.
Mom’s meatballs? Bacon and eggs? Easy peasy pork chops? We got you.

The Little Things that Matter
We raise our animals in a way that is beneficial for all. The cattle fertilize the land, the people are healthier for being outside and taking care of them, the butchering is done by a small family business in our local area. You can know that every dollar you spend is going directly to another family.

Value and Cost
We are all wanting the best bang for our bucks. By raising nutrient dense foods you are feeding your family and yourself more of what your bodies need in the same volume of food. You can buy cheaply raised meats but you will have to eat so much more of it to feel full and satiated. With meats raised the way we do, there are more nutrients in the same cut of meat vs large scale commercial operations.
You asked us...
Can I add things to my order?
We raise all of our beef, pork, chicken, and eggs. As it is butchered locally we can arrange for specialty cuts if that is something you are interested in. We've recently added all of our available individual cuts to the site under their respective pages.
How are things packaged?
Items are wrapped and labeled by the butcher, then frozen. When we ship we use cardboard boxes and an insulated liner, items are packaged up and an ice pack included for the trip.
Will it get dry when I cook it?
Short answer is No.
Meat is really not as complicated as your favourite cooking show makes it seem. When one is working with lesser quality meat one needs to be more careful to get those ideal responses. But with meat quality like this, you can be much more forgiving of yourself and still have a stellar product when you finish. The little bit of marbling means that the meat doesn't dry out and get tough during the cooking process.
My freezer is full at the moment...
We hear this all the time, and sometimes we find ourselves saying it too. When freezer space is at a premium then a meat box is your perfect solution. You get the benefits of having all the meat types and farm quality without having to spend the upfront dollars on a bulk purchases of each type. You also don't need to store a couple hundreds pounds all at once. You will be able to use up each months order and never have to wonder what the mystery package is in the back bottom corner is.
So many times we are spending valuable freezer space on things we may never eat anyway, or maybe they aren't that good for us. We always try to remind ourselves that if its something we won't use, we might as well put something in the freezer that we will.
