Breakfast Sausages

This breakfast sausage is made from a balanced blend of beef and pork, seasoned mildly and left uncured so it stays flavorful without being greasy or heavy. It’s not smoked and not fully cooked, so it cooks evenly and browns cleanly in the pan — exactly what you want first thing in the morning. The beef brings structure, the pork brings moisture, and the seasoning stays quiet enough to work with eggs, toast, or pancakes. Store frozen and cook thoroughly before eating. This is the kind of breakfast sausage that doesn’t take over the plate — and doesn’t need to be drowned in ketchup to make sense.

“Legit just finished gorging on your breakfast sausage’s & toast! Lol  On a num-num high!  THE BEST!! Loving everything I’ve purchased from you! These breakfast sausages were so easy to cook up, and so delicious! 🤤 😋 “ ~Alana L.~

There are quite a few links in these, and are packaged about 0.75lb/package. They are sold for $14.72/lb so the deposit is $10.00/package, the total being calculated upon weighing and due upon shipping.

These fresh sausages are made from a 50/50 blend of beef and pork, seasoned with a clean spice mix from Killarney Meats, and formed into classic links. They’re gluten-free, uncured, and contain no fillers or binders. Each package includes 6 links.

When we forget to take something out of the freezer for supper, this is our go-to. We cook these sausages straight from frozen by boiling them briefly, then finishing them in a pan. It’s fast, forgiving, and gets supper on the table without planning. If you’re organized, they grill, pan-fry, or oven-cook just as well.

These come 6 links to a package, are about 1.1 lbs/package and are $14.72/lb.  They are sold with a $15 deposit, the final price calculated upon weighing and due upon shipping.

These smokies are made from a 50/50 blend of beef and pork, smoked with real wood and left uncured, with no preservatives and no mystery ingredients. They’re not fully cooked and must be cooked before eating. The result is a smokie that tastes like actual meat, not whatever gets ground into hot dogs. They grill clean, hold together, and have a satisfying bite without rubbery casing. Perfect for the grill or the campfire, especially tucked into a bun. Store frozen and cook thoroughly.

These come 6 links in a package and weigh about 1 lb. They are priced at $15.67/lb so are sold with an $15.00 deposit, the balance is calculated upon weighing and due upon shipping.

This smoked farmer sausage is made from a 50/50 blend of beef and pork, smoked with real wood for flavor, and left uncured so the meat stays balanced instead of overly salty. It’s smoked fresh, not fully cooked, and available as links or patties, depending on how you like to cook. That fresh-then-smoked process helps the sausage grill evenly, hold its shape, and slice clean. The beef brings structure, the pork brings moisture, and the smoke stays in the background where it belongs. Store frozen and cook thoroughly before eating. Designed for the grill, but just as reliable in a pan or oven.

These come 6 links or 6 patties in a package and weigh about 1.1lbs. They are priced at $15.67/lb so are sold with an $16.00 deposit, the balance is calculated upon weighing and due upon shipping.

From our Farm Straight to Your Plate

Good quality meat makes cooking easy

Variety Meat Box

The Variety Meat Box is where we started. We wanted to create a meat box that gave you the benefits of the farm; the quality of meats, the variety of cuts, and the costs. By purchasing a monthly meat box you save on the upfront cash layout and on the freezer space. You still get that farmer's market quality at your fingertips.

Each box contains a variety of beef, pork, chicken, and eggs

No one wants to eat the same thing on repeat. So we created a box that has a little bit of everything for those that want to change it up. The cuts vary each month, which keeps away the recipe dulldrums. Not sure how to cook a specific cut you've received? Just shoot us a message and we are happy to share our family favourites!

Variety of meats without the storage space

The benefit of buying a whole or half animal is that you get all the available cuts. The downside is the upfront cost and the storage space. Purchasing a subscription for the Variety Meat box gives you the benefits of a bulk meat purchase, without having to store three different types of proteins in your freezer.

Health benefits of eating a variety applies to your meats too

Different foods have different nutrients, and the only way to ensure you're getting all your nutritional needs met without supplementation is to eat a wide variety of foods. It is so easy to get into the "meal rut" of just a handful of foods but with a variety meat box you get the opportunity to explore different foods. If you're ever stuck for a recipe (or find a great one to share) check out our Pinterest page EvergreenAlley Meals!

Bulk purchase cost without the upfront investment

The Variety Meat Box is by far the best bang for your buck. Since all of the cuts in this box are raised here on the farm, butchered locally, and delivered straight to your door, more of your money is going straight into your freezer as nutritionally dense and healthy meats. Each month you get a different combination of beef, pork, chicken, as well as three dozen eggs. We do try to keep the seasons in mind, as well as holidays, but they are a surprise.

Butchered at inspected Manitoba facilities

We want to make sure that every dollar spend here ends up directly in a small family operation's pockets. Our large animals are processed in Killarney, MB at Killarney Meats. The chickens are killed at Waldner Meats in Niverville after which we piece them out ourselves in a local commercial kitchen.

Eggs washed in clean warm water, no chemicals

As eggs are laid with a natural coating to prevent the intrusion of bacterias through the porous shell we wash our eggs with simply warm water just before they are sold.

Order before Monday night to get it shipped on Wednesday.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS IN EACH BOX?

The Summer box contains cuts specifically designed with summer in mind. They can be whipped up into a quick meal for busy days, cooked over a campfire, tossed on the BBQ, whatever your creativity can come up with.

WHAT ARE YOUR ANIMALS FED?

The livestock at Evergreen Alley are fed a combination of feeds depending on the stage of growth. Chickens are fed special feed for chicks and electrolytes until they are 3 weeks old, then they move outdoors and feed a grain and supplement mix.

The cattle spend as much time on pasture as we can in the favourable seasons, then hay and cover crop bales in the winter. For the final 60 days they are fed a bit more grain with their forages, this helps give that marbling in the meat without the superficial fat.

The pigs spend their time outside, with their mom's for the first 3 weeks. Then they are fed a mixture of grains and supplement and kitchen scraps (their favourite!).

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER TO?

With this launch online we are delivering to Brandon, Boissevain, Killarney, and Deloraine MB. If your are from outside of this area and interested please email us, we would love to know which area to expand into next!

HOW DOES THE DISCOUNT WORK?

By purchasing a subscription to the Monthly Meat box you pay a deposit of $50/box upfront. You then only have to pay the remaining balance on your box at delivery time. We typically sell subscriptions in 6 month blocks at this time.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Unfortunately due to the perishable nature meat and eggs we are unable to offer a refund. We try our best to package everything in a way that ensures a safe arrival. If for some reason you are not satisfied, please reach out to us. We want to know what went wrong so we can improve our system and your experience.

WHAT OTHER PRODUCTS DO YOU CARRY?

We are looking at launching a variety of meat bundles and packages. We want everyone to experience the benefits of quality meats like they were on the farm themselves (without the work of course). We are planning Quick and Easy, Harvest Crew, Kids Choice (Madelyn and Sam loved making this one), Smoking and Grilling, Pioneer, as well as a Summer/Winter box. Let us know what catches your eye!

We have recently added goats to the farm and can source lamb as well.
